The South Carolina Law Enforcement Victim Advocate Association (LEVA) was established in 1990. LEVA provides a means for victim advocates to gain networking opportunities, training resources, and a forum to discuss common issues and concerns. It also provides a voice for legislative issues pertaining to victims rights. The Association meets bi-monthly in Columbia with an agenda that includes a regular one- hour training segment in victim related issues. Membership includes voting members who are Law Enforcement Victim Advocates and non-voting members who represent non-law enforcement victim service agencies.

The Annual LEVA Conference held in the Fall of each year provides an opportunity for Advocates to focus on training needs and to plan for the coming year by setting goals for its membership. Information regarding SCLEVA membership or questions regarding the association may be directed to the LEVA Executive Board at caldwell@charterinternet.com.
