Kimberly Cockrell - MADD Panelist

BIO:

Kimberly Cockrell serves as the Victim Services Manager for Mothers Against Drunk Driving South Carolina. Kimberly has a long history with MADD that began with MADD South Carolina after the death of her best friend, Nancy Moore Thurmond, in 1993. While living in California, Kimberly volunteered with MADD California where she spoke to thousands through school presentations, Victim Impact Panels and The California Division of Juvenile Justice from 1994 through 2000.   She also served on the MADD Los Angeles Advisory Board.  Kimberly has served the victims of DUI with MADD SC since 2016. Kimberly does not see her service to victims as a job but more as a mission. With Nancy’s hand on her shoulder, she feels it is an honor to support victims of impaired driving through emotional support as well as in courts during the offender’s trial that has forever changed their lives. One of Kimberly’s most humbling moments was being honored with the Laura Hudson Scales of Justice Award, by SCVAN in 2019. Laura is the founder of MADD SC.
