Shenitha Shiver - Military Advocate Panelist

BIO: 

Shenitha Shiver has been a Domestic Abuse Victim Advocate with Ft. Jackson for 16 years. She has over 20 years’ experience in domestic violence / child abuse. Shenitha provides classes and training on both these subjects as well as teen dating violence awareness and healthy relationship classes.   Shenitha has a MA in Human Research and Development and a MS in Counseling.  Most recently, Shenitha has gained experience working with parents of children involved with Problematic Sexual Behavior in Children and Youth (PSB-CY) assisting them with navigating through resources available that provides the families guidance in getting the help they need to get healthy.

Shenitha has developed partnerships with the military and civilian communities to facilitate the best support that she can provide to her clients. She feels that everyone has a right to live violence-free and she treats all clients with dignity and respect. Through her hard work and dedication Shenitha has been able to bridge the gap and educate the military community on domestic violence, its impact on families, and how everyone can be proactive in preventing family violence.
